Use cases
How do I build business apps with Claude Code?
Ask Claude Code to build the business app you need: an internal dashboard, form, or tracker connected to your services and data. Claude Code builds and publishes it; Ekaya Cloud hosts it. Open the app in a browser and keep using it after the chat closes.
What to ask Claude Code
Example prompt, not a recorded run.
Use Ekaya to build a customer follow-up tracker for my business. Show customers who need a reply, let me record the next step and its due date, and connect it to my customer records. Publish it so I can open it in a browser each morning.
What you get
- A Hosted Application for the business task you describe to Claude Code.
- An interface connected to the services and data you configure for the work.
- An application you can reopen in a browser after the chat closes.
How it works
Connect your harness to Ekaya once, then ask. Claude Code builds and publishes the application; Ekaya hosts it. See how to connect your harness.
What are the limits?
- Ekaya hosts browser applications. The browser runs the application's JavaScript; hosting is not a general-purpose server, a background job runner, or an agent runtime.
- Version rollback restores app files, not business data. Restoring an earlier application version does not undo changes the application made to records or connected services.
Questions
- Can Claude Code build internal tools, dashboards, forms, and trackers?
- Yes. Ask Claude Code for the browser application your business needs, describing who uses it and what they need to see or do. Claude Code builds and publishes the application, and Ekaya Cloud hosts it. Data access depends on the sources and Requests configured for the Project.
- Do I need an existing database to build a business app?
- No. An application can use its own Managed Project Database, where enabled, to keep new records without connecting another source. It can also use an existing database or service. Choose the sources the work needs.
- How does a form change a business record?
- A form changes records through an approved Action, which defines one operation, its parameters, permissions, and limits. It runs as the signed-in viewer under that person's Role. A Query only reads; permission to open the form does not grant additional Requests.
